Commodore CBM 8032-SK Keyboard - Before and After cleaning Commodore CBM 8032-SK Keyboard - Before and After cleaning

Detailed photo:

I have used the CIF Power Clean and Sponge dishes, with the porous Bakelite (this keyboard) you can also use the rough side of the sponge without any problems. Don’t use the rough side with the plastic.

I have to thank Andrea for giving me this keyboard. The keyboard has replaced the wrong one of my 8296-D.

    Spettacolo.
    Che prodotto usi per sbiancare le plastiche?

    @Terra2

    Ciao, ho aggiunto la descrizione di che prodotto ho utilizzato, ricordo comunque che questo prodotto NON toglie l’effetto del ‘bromo’ contenuto nella plastica degli anni passati, dunque se una plastica e’ ingiallita di suo e non sporca, bisogna fare il retrobright.

    Grazie (e scusa il ritardo, mi sono ricordato solo oggi di controllare la risposta).
    Ho due condizionatori con le plastiche ingiallite (credo dal fumo dell’inquilino precedente) e proverò a recuerarli. Purtroppo sono in Giappone e mi riesce difficile trovare gli ingredienti per il Retrobright, ma forse riesco a recuperare un equivalente del Cif.

    This past weekend I bought a lot of computers and gaming systems and literally thousands of articles for them. The majority of everything needs cleaning and has yellowed over time. Being new to cleaning and restoring these vintage articles could you please point me in a direction that will give me information and advice on how to do this properly.

    I do not even know what CIF Power clean is or if it is available in Canada. Thank you, crusty (Hugh)

    For a brief view of the quantity of systems I am talking about please see : http://www.theoldcomputer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3353 thanks
