Replace ZX Spectrum 48k Keyboard membrane

New Spectrum Membrane

Autopsy:

One of the most common faults on the old “rubber key” spectrums are groups of non working keys. This problem is almost always caused by a worn keyboard membrane.

It is good to see positive feedback on how easy it is to fit a new Sinclair ZX Spectrum keyboard membrane – we have now been supplying these for a few years, and if you look at the pictures above you will notice how more transparent they are than the originals – the newer models are made in the Czech Republic to the same standards as the Spectrum+ Keyboard Membrane and should last much longer.

Falling out of the interest in these keyboard membranes has been the design and production in the UK of replacement faceplates which go over the top of the rubber keyboard – these can really bring your Sinclair ZX Spectrum back to life and make it as good as new !!
