    Hello nIGHTFALL
thanks for all your publications – very helpful!
It’s not exactly this case but maybe you are familar with my issue with 2 Chinon FB-354 drives.
Unfortunately I damaged 2 of those babies from my A2000 with an original driver disk (!). Since I tried to ready that disk, they aren’t reading any disks anymore. It seemed that the disk was spinning somehow bad. But actually I don’t have any idea what happend to the drives and where I can start to repair them. As those two are in great shape (except this issue) I would love to repair them.
What do you think should be done? What could be wrong after reading that disk with those two floppys?

    Any hints would be wonderful!
    Thanks very much
    oXo

If the drive can’t read any longer after a sticky disk, then most likely this happened:

Both drive heads are covered with dirt -> clean them with a Q-tip with alcohol. Sometimes really hard to get them clean again, so you might need to actually rub them clean. But be caraful with the upper head since it is a bit fragile.

    Cheers,
