VirtualC64 emulates a Commodore 64 personal computer on your Macintosh. I wrote the software with two major goals in mind. First, I wanted to create an emulator that can be used as a demonstrator program in a first year or second year course on computer engineering.

To achieve this goal, I have integrated various debugging capabilities that let you peek inside the CPU, RAM, ROM, or one of the custom chips. Second, I tried to make the emulator as user friendly as it can get.

In short: VirtualC64 tries to combine the ongoing fascination of the ancient Commodore computers with the great user experience of today’s Macs.

Benjamin J. Heckendorn made a laptop of a Commodore C64. He used a modified C64c motherboard, original keyboard, 15″ TFT screen and a 1541-III DTV.

Ben also made the case for the laptop. The most work was to get the C64 motherboard and keyboard fit inside the laptop.

The Final Cartridge III was a popular extension cartridge which was created for the Commodore 64 and Commodore 128, produced by Riska B.V. Home & Personal Computers. It offered a fast loader, increasing the speeds of the disk drive, and a freezer, allowing the program execution to be stopped to be resumed later.

This version of the game has some changes and bug fixed.

Changes:

• The time limit is MUCH shorter now
• Attacking harmless Campers results in a peppered time penalty and increasing panic.
• That time penalty for attacking the innocent is increased with each round.
• Other new/modified old panic triggers: every time somebody screams the death-scream, the panic level of the player will rise. Finding bodies will also increase the panic level, and those random splatter pics will increase it even more.
• High panic levels can lead to temporary loss of control over the player character, the higher the panic, the more often that will occur.
• Extreme panic level result in an instant heart-failure.
• Healthy prayers mode: when keeping still while carrying the cross, the panic level will slowly drop.
• Every 6th round is a bonus round: all you can kill in 3 minutes :)

The IDE-fix adapter doubles the internal IDE port of your A1200. At the same time it’s an adapter from the rather uncommon 2.5 inch standard to the less expensive 3.5 inch standard connections. The first of the two IDE outputs is available as 3.5 inch and 2.5 inch connector, to you can use existing cables.

The IDE-fix adapter is buffered and terminated. That means that your Amiga is shielded from noise that is caused by long cables, so it continues working reliably without crashing.

During the 80s, it was common use to build computers in a way that they can output their picture on a TV set. This was done in order to reduce the overall system cost for the user. TV sets work with lower frequencies compared to today’s monitors, therefore the picture flickers. A flickerfixer (aka de-interlacer) converts the signal in a way that a modern VGA monitor or TFT-display can be used. The name flickerfixer was mainly created because the problem of a flickering picture is solved. Individual Computers already had a very successful product called Indivision in 2002. It was connected to the monitor output of the computer, but it has been sold out since 2006. Indivision AGA‘s most notable features are:
