Commodore 64 Ram Expansion (REU) 1764 Repaired

The failure was due to a cold solder on the ram socket and a bent pin on the ic MOS 8276.

    Hi

    just come across this post…

I have a 1764 REU and when I run the Ram test program it shows a fail on the first test..

the text is as follows (in the format as shown in your image) “1 Fail 55 55 0 079F”

My question is it possible to identify which chip has failed by the above test ?

Any help on this would be appreciated
