Restauro Commodore Amiga CDROM A570.
Ho ricevuto due oggetti in pessime condizioni.
- 1 x Floppy Drive CD-1411
- 1 x Commodore Amiga CDROM A570
…ma per ora parliamo del Commodore A570.
Il Commodore A570 presentava seri problemi che ora vi elenco qui di seguito:
- Involucro Esterno molto sporco, ingiallito e rotto in piu’ parti.
- Le guide dell’ingresso CD-ROM CADDY completamente storte.
- Filettatura viti compromessa.
- La piastra di metallo dove e’ fissato il lettore CDROM e’ piegata da un lato.
- Molte parti arruginite.
- Circuito Stampato con evidenti tracce di acqua/calcare e ruggine.
Lavori che sono stati fatti:
- Sistemate le guide ingresso CD-ROM CADDY. Non e’ stato facile perche’ tutte le guide in metallo erano storte, ci sono riuscito, funziona.
- Pulizia curcuito stampato da ambedue i lati con il prodotto Kontakt PCC e spazzolino.
- Pulito e ingrassato le guide dove scorre la testina del CDROM.
- Pulita la lente testina CDROM.
- Sistemata la pistra di metallo del supporto lettore CDROM.
- Pulizia involucro esterno.
- Fissato con la colla le due asticelle per il fissaggio delle viti involucro esterno.
Lavori ancora da fare:
La parte inferiore del Commodore CD-ROM A570 e’ molto arruginita, bisogna carteggiare leggermente e almeno dare una mano di antiruggine.
Esteticamente e’ veramente pessimo ma almeno funziona :D

Difetto:
- Schermo Nero e suono a singolo tono in background.
Componenti sostituiti:
Nota personale che sta bene per tutte le riparazioni.
Le riparazioni vanno fatte con esperienza e abilità, se c’e’ abilità non vuol dire che ci sia anche l’esperienza.
Riparare un qualsiasi oggetto elettronico dissaldando tutto per trovare il guasto non e’ indice di esperienza ma solo di abilità.

Difetto:
- Mancano le gambe dell’omino e un pezzo di corda nella demo del gioco pitfall.
Componenti sostituiti:
- 1 x TMS9929TML VDC (Video Display Controller)

Ripristinato il connettore originale della tastiera Amiga A1200.
Non mi esprimo sul lavoro di merda che è stato fatto.

Riparazione Alimentatore Commodore Amiga 500.
Difetto:
- Tutti i voltaggi sono instabili.
Riparazione:
- Sostituito Diodo Zener 5.6v (ZD2). Il diodo risultava corroso e spezzato, la causa non e’ stata l’acido dei condensatori.
- Sostituito Condensatore Elettrolitico 1uF 50v (C9) che sotto tensione “sbarellava”, trovato spruzzando spray ghiaccio.
Tutti gli altri condensatori elettrolitici sono stati dissaldati uno ad uno e testati, sono buoni.

- Le due RAM guaste scaldavano molto raggiungendo i 70 gradi.

Cosa sono le DiagROM?
Le DiagROM sono delle ROM diagnostiche per gli Home Computer della serie Commodore Amiga. Queste ROM tornano molto utili in alcune sistuazioni, tipo quando il computer non esegue correttamente il boot o si blocca.
Changelog:
- RTC Test improved with OKI Chipset support (but RTC test still is kind of buggy)
- Remade the autoconfig handling for much better ZorroIII support etc.
- Possability to turn on/off cache in manual memortedit (this WILL crach your machine on 68000/68010)
- Added an experimental “no chipmem” screen to try to figure out biterrors with rasterbars. (dark bar=dead bit, light bar=working bit)
- Added support for Amiga 1000 with a limited version of DiagROM.
- Parallel and serialporttests using SysTest compatible loopback adapters.
- Diskdrivetests.
- And.. some internal changes and stuff I actually forgotten.

- when no chipmem is foundand no fastmem, instead of just flashing a green screen, it now checks memaddr $400 and shows in stripes biterrors. bright color=bit working, dark=bit error. evbery 15 frame it flashes and steps +4 bytes of memaddr to check

- Oh! yes long time. Now DiagROM is opensource avaible at https://github.com/ChuckyGang/DiagROM
- Totally rewritten Autoconfig, now handles Z2 and Z3 and should be working. if you get stuck in a loop (autoconfig not working) it
- will halt after 32 “boards”. Also in ManualEdit mode, I have inlcuded a function to turn on/off cache. to debug cacheissues on CPU Cards.
- BE CAREFUL! this WILL crash if you run it on a 68000/010
- Also fixed bug of garbage in menus.

Jean-François DEL NERO (la persona che sta dietro lo sviluppo del Floppy emulator HxC SD) ha recentemente rilasciato una versione del firmware HxC compatibile con il chip STM32 utilizzato nel Floppy Drive Gotek.
Questo significa che possiamo godere di quasi tutte le features che il firmware HxC supporta anche per l’economico Floppy Drive Gotek.
Il bootloader per convertire il floppy drive Gotek in HxC compatibile va acquistato sul sito di HXC 2001 inviando un’email a Jean-François DEL NERO. Il prezzo del bootloader e’ di 10 euro una tantum per ogni Gotek che si vuole aggiornare/convertire. Gli aggiornamenti successivi del software sono gratuti e possono essere fatti da chiavetta USB.

Pratico e funzionale adattatore progettato da Rolo che permette di utilizzare la Rolo Multi-Cartridge anche sulla console Interton VC4000.
Gallery:
Questa e’ una semplicissima modifica per prelevare il segnale video composito e audio dalla console Interton VC4000.
Bisogna rimuovere il modulatore RF (consiglio di rimuoverlo completamente) dissaldando tutti i piedini e quindi collegare come si vede nella foto il segnale Video (V) Audio (A) e la massa (G) e far uscire il cavo video e audio da dove usciva il vecchio cavo RF.
