SIDKick pico di Frenetic è un sostituto del chip SID per C64 basato su microcontrollore. Gli ingressi analogici per paddle e mouse sono disponibili proprio come per il SID originale.

The 0.22 version includes new features such as:

• Advanced SID filter settings plus 19x measured 6581 filter curves (measurements by Antti S. Lankila)
• Support for Pico 2 / RP2350
• Change bus timings (if still necessary at all!) by pressing reset for ~5 seconds, factory reset by pressing reset for >10 seconds
• Optional offsetting of paddle values now via the configuration tool

(I also added a version of the firmwares where the reset-functionality requires ~30 seconds and ~60 seconds reset press, in case the shorter times conflict with kernal switchers or other extensions)

Alcuni mesi fa avevo stampato in 3D il LightBox MOS 6581 ma per pigrizia non avevo ancora installato una striscia LED domotica.

Vi lascio alle foto, inutile descrivere quello che sembra ovvio :D

La stampa del case per il Commodore Floppy Drive 1541-II versione Harlequin è stata completata con un tempo di stampa totale di 23 ore (modalità di stampa lenta), compresa l’asciugatura del filamento.

Queste sono le modifiche che sono state fatte al progetto originale:

• Rimossi i piedini sulla parte inferiore del case per evitare i supporti, i piedini antiscivolo possono essere applicati senza problemi.
• Diminuita la profondita’ del foro quadrato sul pannello frontale per il logo Commodore.
• Rimosso il testo POWER e DRIVE sul pannello frontale che era in rilievo e non veniva stampato correttamente con uno nuovo scolpito.
• Chiuso il foro sul pannello frontale per il MeGALoDOS OLED.
• Etichetta Commodore da applicare sul pannello frontale.

Ennesima cinesata ma per 13 euri meritava provare sta cagata pazzesca, per funzionare funziona bene per il prezzo a cui viene venduto ma il problema come sospettavo e’ la distanza focale che e’ pressoche’ nulla.

La ghiera di protezione DEVE essere appoggiata sull’oggetto, dunque se ci serve identificare dei componenti SMD esempio in formato 201 o 402 “POTREBBE” andare bene, oppure se vogliamo vedere i nei sulla pelle , foglie, capelli, insetti minuscoli, il buco del culo del gatto potrebbe anche andare bene ma se vogliamo utilizzare questa lente per un’analisi di piste interrotte o micro cortocircuiti con un pcb che utilizza componenti THT, non va bene, assolutamente inutile perche’ oltre a sbattere sui componenti/piedini/saldature il range di visulizzazione e’ ridotto , bisognerebbe stare molto piu distanti ma la lente non lo permette e di conseguenza non mette a fuoco

Un’ottimo regalo per mia figlia :-D

Adattatore e switcher ROM del kernel per C64/C64C/1541/1541C/1541-II

Lo Switchless Kernal Switcher (SKS64) commuta tra 4 o 8 diversi kernel utilizzando il tasto RESTORE della tastiera del C64. Cambia automaticamente il kernel nell’unità disco utilizzando il segnale di reset. Il colore del LED RGB indica il kernel corrente.

Il progetto consiglia di utilizzare le EPROM W27C512 ma in laboratorio avevo disponibili solo le SST27SF512 che sono pinout compatibili.

La “High Voltage SID Collection (HVSC)” è un collezione che raccoglie migliaia di brani musicali del Commodore 64 (noti anche come brani SID).

Questa collezione e’ completamente gratuita ed e’ opera di un Team di persone che negli anni ha lavorato per rendere la migliore raccolta di SID tunes.

• 72 fixed/better rips
• 8 repeats/bad rips eliminated
• 280 SID credit fixes
• 10 SID model/clock infos
• 11 tunes from /DEMOS/UNKNOWN/ identified

The return of the Hybrid Sid Player by xAD/Nightfall

Based on the Project and Hardware Schematic by Markus Gritsch released in the years 2011-2015 on the forum dangerousprototypes. Thanks Markus.

Added:

• Added the info of the video mode on the OLED (PAL – NTSC – Both – Unk), the info is alternated with the VB: CIA or VBI.

Updated:

• Improved the verification of the Socket number for the FPGASid in the configuration file and error reporting on the display if it is incorrect.

  •     FPGASid Disabled

• The default SID Socket (DEFAULT_SID_SOCKET) in case the Auto Switching mode is used will always be the Socket where the FPGASid has been installed.

Fixed:

• Playing the song “Acrouzet_-_Your_Indecision.sid” i found a bug, the Player did not choose the right Timing for NTSC and consequently the playback of the song was too slow.The problem was that this song uses VBI with NTSC timing, usually you can find CIA songs with NTSC timing. It was a bug in the player that it couldn’t get the correct information from the SID header.
