Jurassic News è una fanzine realizzata da appassionati di retro computing con lo scopo di dare vita ad un periodico gratuito che tratti l’informatica delle origini.
Tutti hanno sentito parlare del Commodore64, dello Spectrum o dell’Apple II (tanto per citarne alcuni): sono i nomi fantasiosi dei primi calcolatori personali veramente alla portata di tutti. Qualcuno di voi ne ha posseduto uno o magari lo possiede ancora e ricorda l’eccitazione di quei primi passi nel mondo dell’informatica che ora è ormai esplosa e permanea tutta la nostra vita quotidiana.
Coloro che ricordano con nostalgia la pionieristica atmosfera dei primi approcci al BASIC o al linguaggio macchina o che semplicemente hanno passato molte ore cercando di superare quel livello di gioco che sembrava impossibile, troveranno in J.N. la stessa atmosfera di un tempo.

La cartuccia Chameleon Turbo 64 è estremamente facile da utilizzare dal momento che non serve aprire il proprio computer perche’ si collega alla porta di espansione del C64.
La cartuccia può funzionare anche come unità “stand-alone” questo perche’ al suo interno il cuore e’ un chip FPGA che emula quasi (ancora in beta) del tutto un Commodore 64, compreso il Floppy Drive e puo’ essere collegata ad un normale monitor VGA (LCD o CRT).

- improved navigation in one panel mode, cursor right enters subdir/image and cursor left goes one level up.
- improved quickfind, just type a filename quickly to jump to it.
- mount menu is skipped if there would only be one active item.
- when returning to the menu from the sid player by pressing left/menu button it will go directly to the filebrowser.
- added gfx viewer for various multi-color and hires formats.(see manual)

- added filecopy (F5 in two panel mode, see manual)
- set $030c-$030e to 0 before starting prgs, increases compatibility with certain packers.
- .sid files which actually contain a basic program can now be run correctly.

VirtualC64 e’ un’emulatore di Commodore 64 per Intel Macintosh OSx > 10.6.
Questo software e’ stato scritto con due principali obiettivi; Il primo il programmatore ha voluto creare un emulatore che può essere utilizzato come programma dimostrativo durante il proprio anno di ingegneria informatica, il secondo e’ che l’emulatore e’ stato scritto il piu’ user-friendly possibile.

Con ASAP Music Player si torna indietro di 20 anni, dato che si possono ascoltare le musiche dell’Atari 8-bit su Windows / Mobile (Android) /Linux. ASAP emula in modo perfetto il chip audio POKEY e il processore 6502.
Il progetto era inizialmente basato sulle routine utilizzate dall’emulatore Atari800, ma la versione attuale ha un core di emulazione completamente nuovo.

Questa collezione e’ completamente gratuita ed e’ opera di un Team di persone che negli anni ha lavorato per rendere la migliore raccolta di SID tunes.

Line Runner è una conversione per Atari 8-Bit del popolare gioco per Android e iPhone programmato e distribuito da Rober Szeleney (Djinnworks).
Line Runner è disponibile per Atari 800XL, 65XE, 130XE, 1200XL, sia PAL che NTSC ed è disponibile anche una versione cartuccia ad un prezzo molto interessante.
