NEC PC-Engine LT repaired for a friend
Pubblico alcuni screenshot e un video della riparazione di una console NEC PC-Engine LT.
Difetto della console:
Alcuni condensatori avevano rilasciato acido sullo stampato e ho dovuto pulire con un prodotto fatto apposta per la pulizia degli stampati prima di procedere con la sostituizione dei componenti. Lo schermo LCD e’ stato smontato per rimuovere la sporcizia che si era formata internamente.

I came across your repair. I am a also LT owner, and I am trying to repair mine (no picture, but backlight is on. sound also works). I have to replace the caps in exactly the same spot as you did. Can you maybe help me? It looks like the previous owner did a repair (very badly soldering skills), and some of the lines are gone. I am having trouble finding the right spot (has to be somwhere else now!) to solder them to. I have photos of the PCB, if you are interested in having a look at them it would be great – you might know a more than I do. I appreciate any help and any suggestion.

Ciao, ho un PC Eengine LT che ha smesso di funzionare, si accende la spia verde ma non si vede/sente nulla. Potrebbero essere i condensatori? Come faccio a capire quali devo sostituire? Si trovano in commercio? Grazie 1000!

Gli vedi immeditamente perche’ hanno rilasciato acido e magari corroso un po’ tutto quello che c’e’ attorno. Io comunque ti consiglio di cambiarli tutti!

Ok grazie, ho ordinato un kit completo di condensatori per LT, spero che arrivino presto… E’ un lavoro fattibile anche da un “non professionista” oppure lo devo far fare ad un esperto?

Bisogna avere buona manualita’ con il saldatore, rimuovere i condensatori SMD magari che hanno perso acido non e’ mai semplice, perche’ rischi di portarti via le piste dello stampato, succede anche a me che lo faccio spesso, purtroppo quei condensatori (diciamo tutti) sono la maledizione subito dopo le batterie che perdono acido pure loro.
Ok grazie x le info, proverò ad aprirlo per valutare la situazione… Ti chiedo un’altra cosa: per testare un condensatore (se non ha perso acido potrebbe essere funzionante) lo devo per forza dissaldare oppure lo posso testare anche quando è saldato sulla piastra?

Lo puoi testare con un capacimetro , meglio se lo rimuovi, ma il mio consiglio e’ di sostituire tutti.
