Riparazione Atari 7800 ProSystem (NTSC).

Difetto:

• La console non si accende.

Componenti sostituiti:

• Sostituito 1 x Pulsante. Recuperato da un PCB di un’Atari 7800 che giaceva nello scatolone dei pezzi di ricambio.

Riparazione Commodore Dual Drive Floppy Disk Model 4040

Difetto:

• Completamente morto con tutti i led accesi tipo “albero di natale”.

Componenti sostituiti:

• Sostituito 1 x LM340K (7812) Voltage Regulator (VR1)
• Sostituito 1 x 7406 Hex Inverter Buffers/Drivers (UJ6)
• Sostituito 1 x 6522 (VIA) Versatile Interface Adapter (UM3)
• Sostituito 1 x 6504 8-Bit CPU (UH3)
• Sostituito 1 x 6502 8-Bit CPU (UN1)

Note:

La causa di tanti problemi sicuramente e’ stata la riparazione precedente. E’ stato sostituito il regolatore di tensione LM340K (7812) con un LM338K (Adjustable Regulators). I due componenti non sono compatibili e hanno un pinout completamente differente.

Ikari ha rilasciato il nuovo firmware per la SD2Snes la Flash Cartridge per Super Nintendo/Famicom. Le istruzioni per l’aggiornamento le potete trovare qui.

Full Changelog:

A minor update, mainly in the name of stability. This hopefully eliminates glitches unrelated to the in-game buttons on some consoles, e.g. Seiken Densetsu 3 rebooting intermittently or graphical glitches in DKC 2+3, that had been introduced with v0.1.7 preview 1.

• Reintroduce more aggressive filtering for control and address lines from the SNES, previously removed after v0.1.6
• Unify and centralize signal edge detection for all sub-units (e.g. S-RTC, MSU1, BSX, DSP etc.) instead of each unit having its own (slightly different) edge detection.
• In-game controller scan has become slightly more time effective under certain circumstances (Auto Joypad Read enabled but no NMIs).
• In-game hooks are now disabled for 10 seconds after loading or resetting a game to help certain games get past their boot screens. This will be configurable in the final.
• Reconfigure the FPGA only when necessary on warm reset, speeding up “reset to sd2snes menu” by a couple hundred milliseconds.
• Fix an MMIO access priority bug for DSPx.
• Fix BS-X ROM detection for games with 2 startups left.
• Fix directory browsing being broken after setting the clock.

Il Commodore 4040 ed i suoi fratelli, il Commodore 2040 ed il Commodore 3040 venduto in Europa, sono unità dotate di doppio drive per floppy disk da 5¼” progettati per l’utilizzo con i computer Commodore a 8-bit. Adottano un case largo e l’interfaccia IEEE-488 usata nei computer della serie Commodore PET/CBM.

Questi modelli usano supporti a singola densità e singola faccia con un formato dei dati simile a quello usato dal Commodore 1541. Una piccola differenza nel data marker indica quale modello ha formattato il disco. La formattazione a basso livello è abbastanza simile da permettere la lettura tra i differenti modelli, ma abbastanza diversa perché un modello di una serie non possa scrivere su un disco formattato da un modello di una serie differente.
