La UnoCart è una multi-cartridge con supporto ROM files su SD-Card per Atari 2600 a basso costo e open source con licenza GPL. La UnoCart Supporta ROM cartridge (files) fino a 64k e 32k di RAM con estensioni; BIN, ROM o A26.
Viene fornita con una custodia stampata in 3D e funziona su sistemi PAL e NTSC! La cartuccia puo’ essere utilizzata anche su Atari 7800 in modalita’ 2600, ma non eseguirà le ROM dell’Atari 7800.
La maggior parte dei giochi e demo, incluso Pitfall II, funzionano bene sul 99% delle consoles, cloni compresi. Il firmware è stato aggiornato, siamo alla versione 17 che e’ stata rilasciata a Settembre 2020 per garantire la massima compatibilità.
I giochi homebrew che sono stati rilasciati recentemente, come Galaga, The End e altri e che richiedono comandi DPC o DPC+ non funzioneranno … per il momento.

Prima di lasciarvi alla solita e noiosa descrizione del prodotto che tra l’altro e’ stata presa da Wikipedia , aggiungo un mio pensiero;
Tra le tante cose scomode da utilizzare che posseggo , l’A570 della Commodore sta nella classifica delle prime 10. :D
L’Amiga A570 è un CD-ROM esterno 1X e detta velocità singola (single speed) per il computer Amiga 500 lanciato sul mercato da Commodore nel 1992. È stato progettato per essere compatibile con il software Commodore CDTV ed e’ in grado di leggere i normali CD-ROM in formato ISO 9660.
La designazione originale era A690 e i dispositivi di pre-produzione con questo nome sono stati dati agli sviluppatori. L’A690 / A570 utilizzava un’interfaccia CD-ROM proprietaria della Mitsumi, inoltre disponeva di un connettore interno per una espansione di memoria da 2 Megabyte, ma questo modulo di memoria proprietario non è mai stato messo in produzione e ad oggi ne esistono solo pochi e rari esemplari dati agli sviluppatori.
Bisogna anche dire che al momento del lancio dell’A570 la produzione dell’Amiga 500 era già stato interrotto. L’Amiga 600 che andava a sostituire l’ormai obsoleta A500 era, come il successivo A1200 incompatibile con questo CD-ROM esterno.
Il dispositivo (come l’hard disk Amiga A590 venduto da Commodore per l’A500) non aveva un connettore passante, quindi non era possibile collegare contemporaneamente un A590 e un A570 al computer. L’A590, nonostante avesse un hard disk XT IDE, portava anche un’interfaccia SCSI che permetteva di montare dischi rigidi di terze parti e drive CD-ROM. Sebbene queste unità non supportassero l’emulazione CDTV, la mancanza di successo del formato CDTV rese questo tipo di supporto praticamente inutile.

E’ stato rilasciato da Nobomi un nuovo aggiornamento firmware per l’ARM2SiD / ARMSID.
ARM2SID firmware 3.12:
- Digifix in MOS8580 emulation is now configurable. By the software it can be set to a several levels including inverse polarities.
- The Digifix is controlled by external pin current by default (as a real MOS6581 is). If you miss it, just set it by the configuration program as you want.
- Digifix for MOS8580 is required for example in the Ghostbusters game, but most of the games, demos and music (specially new ones) is not counting with Digifix and can produce some additional noises and hum.
- In this FW is finished the hotfix in noise generation (test bit) from previous FW, now is no sound missing for example in the TestBit_4x.sid.
- Big improvement in 6581 emulation. Fixed inner analog offsets in the MOS6581 emulation. Less distortion in some demos (for example Mahoney – Musik Run/Stop) and no more clicks in some games music (for example Bubble Bobble).
- Fix in tone counter updates during fast changes.
- Fixed setting of the lowest filter frequency for MOS6581 emulation (sometimes the simulation did not match the settings).
ARMSID firmware 2.12:
- Fixed setting of the lowest filter frequency for MOS6581 emulation (sometimes the simulation did not match the settings).
- Remember the “Digifix” update from the previous version, if something sounds different to you on the MOS8580 emulation, please check the configuration.

L’interfaccia (DD DSK CTL P2) Disk Drive della CompuThink + DiskMON ROM sembra essere la PRIMA unità disco disponibile per la serie di computer Commodore PET ed e’ stata realizzata nel 1979 negli Stati Uniti, molto probabilmente prima del lancio del lettore Floppy CBM 2040 ufficiale della Commodore.
Possiedo inoltre un “clone” o un “prototipo” (vedi foto) parzialmente funzionante di questa interfaccia Disk Drive che ho pubblicato diversi anni fa sul blog.
A quanto ho potuto capire questa interfaccia funziona solo con il BASIC 1.0 e BASIC 2.0 perche’ la ROM DiskMON ha come indirizzo di partenza $B000 (SYS 45056).
Il mio PET 2001-32 ha le rom del BASIC 4.0 e il socket UD5 dove bisogna installare la ROM del DiskMON e’ gia’ occupato da una delle ROM del BASIC 4.0, per provare il funzionamento ho dovuto programmare le EPROM con il BASIC 2.0. (vedi foto)
Inoltre prima di provare l’interfaccia ho dovuto sostituire quasi tutti i condensatori al tantalio perche’ molti risultavano in corto circuito.
Condensatori Sostituiti:

- 1 x 1.5uF/50v
- 2 x 1uF/35v

Il VIC-Switch consente di connettere di 8 computer Commodore ad una singola unità disco, stampanti, plotter ecc.
Il VIC-Switch tiene traccia di chi sta attualmente utilizzando il dispositivo e impedisce l’accesso a tutti gli altri computer che potrebbero richiederlo allo stesso tempo. Una volta che il primo computer ha finito di utilizzare la periferica il VIC-Switch darà quindi accesso al computer successivo.
La periferica e’ stata realizzata in Svezia dalla Handic e alcuni modelli portano il logo Commodore ma non sembra essere molto in stile Commodore
e per questo motivo penso che fossero marchiati Commodore ma non prodotti da Commodore.

Philips Videopac G7000 un poco sporco ma perfettamente funzionante. non ho nulla da scrivere in questo post se non che ho fatto un’accurata pulizia.

Non sarebbe stato bello riporre l’intellivision molto usurato e senza un controller dentro lo scatolone dello spare parts senza nemmeno provarlo :-)
Ovviamente l’intellivision non funzionava, schermo nero.
La riparazione e’ stata semplice, ho sostituito la RAM AM9114 (U8-B) con una NEC 2114 e tutto ha ripreso a funzionare meglio di prima :-)
Inoltre ho rimosso ambedue le label che erano in condizioni pietose, sembra meglio adesso che prima.

Cosa sono le DiagROM?
Le DiagROM sono delle ROM diagnostiche per gli Home Computer della serie Commodore Amiga. Queste ROM tornano molto utili in alcune sistuazioni, tipo quando il computer non esegue correttamente il boot o si blocca.

WOW This is a long time since I updated this. And lets be honest. I have forgot what i have changed.
BUT one thing I just been thinking. I have bumped the versionnumber in the wrong “end”.. so as I am working on a new init-routine. I consider this is the “stable” one.
So I bump the serialnumber to 1.2.1. I have been too busy with hardware so I must confess I haven’t coded so much on DiagROM. I have made some minor bugfixes etc.
I must still warn that if a routine is experimental you cannot really trust the tests.
Anyway in hope for the best in the future. the “daily” will for a while be a little “jumpy” while I get the new init working. This should be useful meanwhile.

Questa collezione e’ completamente gratuita ed e’ opera di un Team di persone che negli anni ha lavorato per rendere la migliore raccolta di SID tunes.
