L’evento di riferimento per i collezionisti di retrocomputer e gli appassionati di emulazione. L’esposizione si terra’ a Lastra a Signa (FI) il 1 Dicembre 2013.
Per chi ha vissuto gli anni 80 il computer era un mondo nuovo da scoprire che sembrava sconfinato ed alla portata di tutti, complici films dell’ epoca (uno per tutti WARGAMES), molti ragazzi impararono i rudimenti dell’informatica e della programmazione.
Per ricordare quell’epoca storica, gli espositori di retrocomputer che interverranno alla manifestazione mostreranno il meglio che i programmatori crearono sulle macchine originali.
Inoltre mostreranno le novità hardware e software che si sono avute su queste macchine grazie alla buona volontà di appassionati utenti, e parteciperanno a due gare informatiche: Una musicale ed una ludica incentrate ambedue sempre agli anni ’80.

Tomasz “Tebe” Biela ha rilasciato un’aggiornamento del programma Graph2Font che arriva alla versione v3.9.8.7.
Questo progetto iniziato molti anni fa’ come semplice converitore Grafico per Atari, negli anni e’ cresciuto notevolmente aumentandone così le potenzialità e le funzioni disponibili.

CBM-Command è un disk manager per Commodore 64 / 128 / VIC20 / PET e Commodore C16. L’interfaccia ricorda il vecchio Norton Commander / Midnight Commander. L’interfaccia grafica del CBM-Command per ovvi motivi risulta più semplice ma perfettamente integrata nel sistema operativo. La versione per Commodore 128 puo’ girare anche a 80 colonne.
Release Notes – Version 2.3 Final
This is the final release for CBM-Command Version 2.3. What happened to version 2.2? Well, cc65 went through several breaking changes and I wanted to make a clear delineation that this version of CBM-Command isn’t a simple fix and recompile of the last version 2.2.
New Features:
- Provides Side-By-Side panels or Top-And-Bottom panels on 40-column systems.
- Batch disk image creation.
- User can select drive or partition number.
- The disks have a little BASIC-language program that can update your configuration files.
Known Issues:
- It can trigger the write-and-replace bug.
- It can’t create or write back D80 and D82 images.
- The REL-file copier doesn’t truncate old target files that have the same record size as the new file.
- It will try to copy DEL files if they are selected.
- Errors don’t stop batch operations; the file is skipped.

La settima edizione di Brusaporto Retrocomputing si svolgerà domenica 20 ottobre nel Centro Polivalente di Via Roccolo a Brusaporto, in provincia di Bergamo.
La manifestazione, a cui potrà partecipare chiunque voglia esporre del materiale attinente al retrocomputing, sarà ad entrata libera e rimarrà aperta la mattina dalle 09:00 alle 13:00 ed il pomeriggio dalle 14:00 alle 18:00.

Ho ricevuto questi computer da riparare per un amico.
Guasti riscontrati nel Commodore VIC-20:
- Messaggio di errore (device not present) quando si cerca di accedere alle periferiche IEC come ad esempio un Floppy Drive.
Defects found on the Commodore 64:
- Schermo nero anche dopo aver installato le tre ROM mancanti.
La riparazione del Commodore VIC-20 è’ stata fatta sostituendo l’integrato 7406 (HEX Inverter Buffer).
La riparazione del Commodore C64 è stata fatta sostituendo l’integrato 906114-01 (PLA – Programmable Logic Array).

L’interfaccia ‘HxC Floppy Drive Emulator‘ è un sistema hardware e software creato da jfdn aka Jeff.
L’obiettivo di questo progetto è quello di sostituire l’unità floppy disk con un dispositivo elettronico che emula il floppy drive (lista dell’hardware supportato).
Esistono due interfaccie di emulazione:
- Una versione USB che permette di collegare l’interfaccia floppy disk drive del computer a un PC tramite un cavo USB.
- Una versione SDCARD che permette di emulare i floppy disk tramite le immagini memorizzate su una SDCARD.

The emulator substantially reproduces this legacy machine in minute detail.
