SpartaDOS X (o SpartaDOS 4.0) è un sistema operativo per i computer Atari 8-bit, questo sistema operativo assomiglia all’MS-DOS ed ‘stato sviluppato e venduto da ICD Inc. nel 1987-1993.

Dieci anni più tardi il sistema operativo SpartaDOS X e’ diventato abandonware, approfittando di questo evento un gruppo di sviluppatori appassionati di retro-computer, in fattispecie di Atari 8-bit, hanno ripreso in mano il codice aggiungendo numerose migliorie e risolvendo molti bug che erano stati identificati tempo addietro.

La nuova versione del’OS SpartaDOS X 4.46 e’ compatibile con i seguenti hardware:

• intSDX128 “flash”
• Maxflash 1Mb
• Maxflash 8Mb (contains MAN on-line help)
• Altirra and Atari800 emulators

• After booting you’ll get into a viewer, where you can load ipc pictures. More about the whole thing can be read in the designated readme file. Synthpopalooza did a great job here. Simply press D and you’ll see, what pictures are on this disc to load them.

Atari SAP Music Archive (ASMA) è una collezione di brani musicali Atari XL-XE. ASAP e’ una delle raccolte musicali più grandi e conosciute.

ASMA v3.6 contiene 4630 brani, 315 dei quali sono nuovi! Inoltre il programma SAPMaker è stato ricompilato per essere eseguito con le versioni più recenti di Windows.

Liquid Candy e’ un nuovo fanstatico demo per Atari VCS/2600 rilasciato dal gruppo Noice durante il Silly Venture 2012.

Carica il file .bin nell’emulatore Atari 2600 (esempio Stella), oppure utilizza la cartuccia Harmony per visualizzarlo sulla console Atari 2600.

Peter Jørgensen ha rilasciato una nuova versione del tracker YM-2149, il software che gira sotto ambiente M$ Windows emula il chip audio YM-2149, questo chip audio viene utilizzato dai computer della serie Atari ST/E/Falcon.

New Function in Beta 14.00:

Beta 14.00 – note from the author:

The Ym2149 version 14.0 Beta is probably the most important update that I have released. I have change how the program handle the sound thread and that have improve the stability of the program very much.

Sometime when changing device / export to wav /sampling frequency, etc. the program would hang, but that should be gone now.
I have rewritten the Ym2149 emulations, so it should be closer to that of a real Ym2149 chip. I have also made a mixer window, where you can change stereo/ mono mode, reverb, and output volume of the channels. plus a lot more. I have also remove a numbers of smaller errors.

L’interfaccia SIO2SD Micro per Atari 8-bit Atari XL / XE è un dispositivo che consente di caricare i giochi e applicazioni da schede di memoria SD. L’interfaccia viene connessa tramite il connettore SIO (Serial Input/Output) dell’Atari.

Questa versione è come la SIO2SD originale e si basa sull’ultimo schema disponibile la “versione 2″, l’interfaccia si presenta in una forma più piccola e con alcuni miglioramenti di Panos.

Panos improvements:

• As for the cpu the latest “low consumption” ATMega32A microcontroller in smd form.
• The 74LVC245 who guarantees good data transfer between the microcontroller and SDcard, in proper voltage levels also.
• New 47nf capacitors for better button response.
• Extra resistor and capacitor added in output of low dropout voltage regulator, for better voltage stability particularly at “no load” condition. As result of that is much higher reliability and compatibility with more SD cards.

Beta 120.23 – note from the author:

i found 3 bugs in the tone-bend routine. and i have also change 2 of the functions in the program.

Before note-lock was affecting both S1 and S2 now you can set it to s1,s2 or both. I have also change bend-mode ramp-off to only turn off the source that is being bent. So if you bend only S1 then it is only S1 that is turn off after the bend is finish
