Acetronic (Radofin 1292) MPU-1000 Modifica Video Composito

Acetronic (Radofin 1292) MPU-1000 Composite MOD

    This is great, thanks !

Will a 20k trimmer be ok? I’m struggling to find a 22k in the UK.

Also, in the 7th image, the silver wire coming out of the black sheath to the trimmer, is that solder hanging down connecting to the ground?

Digging up a really old post here, but I did a variant of this composite mod the other day (I used an 120ohm resistor inline with the video signal instead of the trimmer, it works well). The issue is actually with the audio. I think the point at which the audio is sourced is wrong: we get the square wave sound but there is no noise channel, which is needed for explosions in Invaders, Air Sea Attack, etc. Sadly I have no idea how or where to start looking to fix this.

Hi, I modded mine also slightly differently using a 20K pot from pin2 and gnd and picking up the output from the centertap. I searched for the amplified output of the audio signal with a scope a (.9-1V p2p max) and hooked up there. Here are the pics (my AudioSonic – Radofin is a latter revision than the one of the OP):

I trimmed it just for the right contract (checking with a scope the p2p again) and it works fine on both my Composite input monitors.

I have 8 cartridges (the console was a present from my parents back in 1982) but it would be nice if we could dump them and put them on archive.org and make a multicartridge with all the games that were released. Hard project but maybe it’s possible if everyone starts dumping them! The eprom seems a 2kx8 “D2616″ (at least on 2K games) which shouldn’t be an issue to dump.
