Il 1541-III è un’interfaccia hardware che emula il Floppy Drive 1541 del Commodore 64 utilizzando una scheda MMC / SD formattata FAT16, viene collegata al computer Commodore tramite lo standard IEC-bus (bus seriale normalmente utilizzato per collegare diskdrives e stampanti).
L’obiettivo principale del circuito è di emulare il Floppy Drive 1541 (ed ecco perche’ il nome 1541-III). La SD card (MMC / SD) puo’ contenere sia file in formato D64 che PRG.
